Intriguing. Did the mosaic post belong to a building?
Interestingly I think it was a self standing kind of sculpture or installation. There were quite a few mosaics in the square of the main duomo many of which used gold to beautifully reflect the sun.
Amazing. Fancy using gold for what it’s actually good for! How perfect though, for a sunny seaside. Thanks for sharing!
